Sandie Schulze paddling on the Huron River.
Sandie is our instructor for the Women's classes. Sandie Schulze enjoys paddling both canoes and sea kayaks. A perfect paddling day for Sandie is a canoe on a fun and challenging Michigan river or striking out on a long paddle in her sea kayak. Sandie discovered paddlesport as and adult and early in her paddling experience, she had an instructor who emphasized the importance of women learning to paddle efficiently. Most women do not have the upper body strength of men, so learning how to use proper body mechanics and technique makes the paddling experience enjoyable. Sandie is an American Canoe Association certified solo quiet water solo and tandem instructor. She's kayaked all five Great Lakes and has paddled in 12 states as well as Ontario.
