Small Boat Sailing

This class is for the absolute beginner or novice sailor that has their own small sailboat or sailing canoe.  This class will take place on your boat, on your home water.  For the scope of this class, a small boat is defined as one without a keel, (has a dagger board, leeboard or centerboard).  Weighted center board boats are included.  For example: Sunfish, Laser, Wayfarer, CL-16, all small catamarans, Flying Scott, 470, Flying Junior, Butterfly, Lighting, etc.  This class will take place only in the Northwest Lower Michigan counties of Benzie, Manistee, Wexford & Grand Traverse.  Special arrangements can be made for travel outside this area.  This class will be individually formatted to fit your needs.  I will assess your skill and move on from there.  The class will progress at your pace.

Now you can get that sailboat you've wanted and learn to sail with ease.

The cost is $75.00 per day.  For this class, a day is defined as 6 hours.  The class will conclude when you are comfortable with your skill level.  Typically the class will run 3-4 days.  Two day minimum.  Unlimited phone consult after the class is included.

The instructor is Jack Cramer.  I have over 30 years of sailing and racing experience on small lakes, the Detroit River, Lake St. Clair and Lake Huron.  I have experience on boats ranging from the Sunfish up to 40' racing boats.
